Terms & Conditions

The teaching aids described on this website are available on loan to members of ARLT, the CA and The Joint Association of Classical Teachers (JACT) and to others with a bona fide interest.

Members

Members of ARLT, the CA or JACT may borrow material for a fee of £1.00 per item/set.

Those registered blind or partially-sighted may borrow any spoken-word recording free of charge and post free in the UK.

Non-members

Those with a bona fide interest who are not members of any of the above (but why not join?) may borrow material on the same terms as members but for a fee of £2.00.

Those registered blind or partially-sighted may borrow any spoken-word recording at the reduced rate of £1.00 and post free in the UK.

The cost of outward postage must be refunded when returning items together with any charges for registering and insurance. Borrowers overseas are asked to remit in sterling. Material is loaned for four weeks unless special arrangements have been made with the relevant curator and must be returned promptly. Failure to do so can cause delays for other borrowers and an additional fee will be charged on overdue items. Please remember to enclose the advice slip and any documentation. Download links will be valid for 28 days from the date of the confirmation e-mail and any downloaded files must be deleted after 28 days.

Borrowers accept responsibility for the care of material, some of which is valuable and irreplaceable. Please contact the curator immediately should there be any damage or deficiencies.

Loans can be made in person if you live near a curator or are in the area, or attend an ARLT course where parts of the collections are often displayed.

The ARLT collections are a service to members, built up over the years and added to from time to time. Please contact the if you have any suggestions for improving the service or have items you wish to donate.

Conditions of borrowing

Borrowers undertake not to copy or make a written transcript of any recording (other than those supplied under the terms of an ERA licence) or to copy other items apart from computer software in the public domain.

DISCLAIMER

Neither the Classical Association nor the Curator are responsible for the content of lectures. Those intending to use these with students should satisfy themselves as to suitability before doing so.
