NOTES FOR CONTRIBUTORS


These notes are for secretaries of CA branches and organisers of meetings where talks are given and which can be recorded for inclusion in the Audio Archive. They will also be of use to scholars who are willing to record papers for the Archive.

Recordings may be made in digital formats such as MP3, WAV etc and sent on CD. The curator can advise on whether a particular format can be accepted. They may also be sent on cassette tape. Please print out and include this form with discs/tapes giving details of the speaker and talk, and noting if it would be accessible to sixth form and undergraduate students. If a handout was issued a copy should be included, if possible in Word or PDF format. Handouts will be sent to borrowers as PDFs.


Illustrated Lectures

For practical reasons it has not been feasible until recently to accept papers illustrated by slides. It is now possible to do so where the illustrations are presented in Powerpoint, provided that the script in some way makes it clear where slides should be advanced. The Powerpoint will be issued alongside the audio as a .pps file.
